Edward G. Hochstein, LMFT (Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist) has been practicing since 1985.
While emphasizing Marital and Family Counseling through education, training and early experience, I treat Individual Adults and older Adolescents as well.
I have held positions at Inpatient (Hospitals and Treatment Programs) and Outpatient Facilities as a Clinician, Assistant Program Director and Director of Services.
I have provided workshops and support groups for adults focusing on relationships and marriage, effective and productive communication skills, and parenting, including single and step.
I address stage of life transitions causing stress and other related problems.
Currently I accept many Health Insurance Plans and work with Employee Assistance Programs.
My primary approaches to helping people change include Cognitive-Behavioral, Solution Focused, Strategic and Systems.
I believe that almost all of us have the necessary resources, abilities and skills to not only improve our lives, but also to help overcome difficulties in daily living. I take a Pro-Active, positive, here and now oriented approach. I'll help you utilize your strengths to be able and willing to access options and alternatives, creating productive responses in relieving distress, difficulties and confusion.
